January 2023 Book Club Invite

On this last day of 2022, it’s time for some real honesty!

I think I am struggling with depression … in fact, I’m quite sure that I have been struggling with depression for a very long time now … though it’s hard to put in words or “nail it down” on the page like this (it feels so vulnerable) …

A friend told me awhile ago that I’m struggling because I’m AWARE … because I’m PRESENT … because I can SEE …

I really appreciate this perspective and prefer “awareness” over “checking out” or resorting to some sort of “vice.”

I definitely don’t want to STAY depressed though … I do really want to feel better …

Because I trust that building some sense of “community” or “belonging” is part of the cure, I am inviting you to read and discuss this book alongside me in January (it’s available as an audiobook or on Kindle) …

If you’re interested, please let me know, and we can iron out the details!

I’m thinking assigned chapters to read each week, some discussion questions to consider, and a weekly ZOOM (or in-person) meeting, depending who signs up 🙂

Perhaps this is a topic of interest for you too? Perhaps you are also struggling with depression (this can be a difficult time of year for many)? Or maybe you know of someone who might be struggling and this book could help them out?

Sadly, I think anxiety and depression are becoming crazy prevalent … I see it all the time and everywhere I turn …

It’s time to take action!
