It’s Works-for-Me Wednesday!
This means it’s time for me to share something with all of you that “works for me”!
Perhaps, if it works for me, it will work for you too!
Today’s “works-for-me” tip is … pack lunches the night before!
As we approach the one-month mark of “back to school,” this “new” habit of prepping lunches the night before has been a game changer in our house. As we wrap up our evening meal, and the kitchen is already a mess, we quickly take care of (or make a plan for) the next day’s lunches. Thankfully, the kids are older and they’re very capable of taking care of this job on their own now (though I can’t resist the urge to supplement their choices with a few veggies or higher-protein snacks).
In the past, I left packing lunches until the last minute, and, as you can imagine, it definitely added to the chaos of an already busy morning! Getting three kids and all of their essentials out the door each morning is certainly a challenge at times.
A little pre-planning and organizing though makes things run a whole lot smoother. Now, most mornings, we are outside in plenty of time for the bus, enjoying the morning sunshine, playing with our kitties, or having one last visit before everyone separates for the day!
Of course, if you have a “works for me” suggestion related to this topic (or something else) on this wonderful Wednesday, please consider sharing in the comments below or over on my FB Page – Our Life Well Lived – Leanne Hintz!
Happy Hump Day to you all!
