You see this photo? In all it’s dusty glory this little logo represents so, so many important things in my life right now.
Our Life Well Lived – Leanne Hintz is a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/leannehintzlifewelllived/) and a website (https://ourlifewelllivedleannehintz.com/).
It is a goal, something for me and my family to work towards every day … living life well is just so, so important in our unwell world. We need to be good and do good for ourselves and for others.
It is a way for me to lead my family (and hopefully others), showing them the way.
It is a way for me to stay accountable … if I say living well is important, then I need to make it a priority … unfailingly so.
It is something that the world tells me I don’t have time for … I should be “busier” doing something productive or selling something to earn more money (my total revenue from this enterprise is $0).
It is a way for me to fulfill my purpose, which is to guide, to influence, to teach, and to inspire.
It is a way of connecting with others … I hope when people read something on my FB page or my website, they see themselves.
It is a way for me to be honest … genuine … and sometimes, quite brutal … in a fake world too focused on all of the wrong things.
It is meaningful work … this project helps me to grow and learn DAILY, which is so, so important to me (and something I desperately want for my children as well).
It is a testament to the important and hard work of removing “stuff” (literally) from our lives … I worked hard on this for years, and I am reaping the rewards now as I have time and take time to do this important “work” in my life of writing and sharing and connecting with other people. That right there is the point of this whole minimalism thing that I preach about all of the time. STOP spending your days taking care of your stuff, so you have time in your life to spend on people, to do what you love and what you are meant to do.
It represents a great deal of courage. Some of my topics are tough topics, but life is full of tough topics that need to be discussed. People need to be courageous enough to talk about the tough stuff, courageous enough to chase a dream, courageous enough to be who they REALLY are instead of who they think they SHOULD be. There will always be people who don’t agree with us or feel that our work is unworthy. We need to do it anyway.
It’s been 196 days since I launched my Facebook page. My total reach is 29,831 people. That’s an average of 152 people per day reached. Incredible!
It’s been 86 days since I launched my website. I have had 3,593 views from 2,215 visitors. That’s an average of 42 views per day (be mindful that I don’t publish every day). Again, I am so pleased with how this is growing.
Unfortunately, my growth is dependent on the number of likes, shares, and follows I get on social media. Comments help a great deal too (plus, I really just love to hear from you). As for the website, comments, shares, and follows are all incredibly important for my reach to expand here too. If you think there’s anything you can do to “spread the word” just a little farther, please do. You never know which of your friends might benefit from my words today. Thanks so very much for your support! It means the world to me.
